Mykonos to Santorini

Mykonos to Santorini

There are 2 ways to get from Mykonos to Santorini : by ferry or by plane

 FERRY FROM MYKONOS TO SANTORINI

mykonos to santoriniThe ferry takes about 2.5 hrs to arrive to Santorini from Mykonos and there are about 4 ferries per day from Mykonos to Santorini, especially on the summer/high season from May-September.

The ferry companies that run between Santorini and Mykonos are Seajet and Hellenic Seaways.

You can check all the timetables on the Let’s ferry website and book the one that is more convenient to you.

Please keep in mind that  you cannot board the ferry with your online print-out. You have to pick up the ticket from the ferry departure port, from the kiosks of the ferry company you booked. That is the greek law unfortunately. The ticket print-outs have to be printed only by certified companies (any travel agency in Greece can do it for you too).

These are closed-type ferries with airplane type seats.

That means you cannot really sit outside (like you do at the bigger Bluestar Ferries).

It’s like sitting at an airplane or a bus in a way.

You will be given a numbered seat with your ticket.

Important notice: There are no ferries between the Mykonos and Santorini in wintertime. Ferries between Mykonos and Santorini ussually start in late March or early April. However ferry tickets can be booked in advance. There is at least one ferry a day from March 30, 2018 to October 31, 2018.
