Getting to Rhodes Greece

There are car ferries from Rhodes to Athens including Mara and Maris in Turkey. Also, there is a boat connecting Rhodes to Symi and Kos. The trip takes 1.5 - 2 hours depending on the weather.

Where to stay in Rhodes

Lardos and Kitari

The two small cosy villages Lardos and Kitari offers many bays, however, the sand is quite coarse with some stones. If you can manage that you will get peace and quiet in return, the atmosphere here is very relaxed.

Lardos is located on the southeast coast of Rhodes and is a traditional Greek village, where you will experience the Greek daily life. Here you find small cosy cafes and traditional taverns. Lardos Beach has been awarded the European Blue Flag for its cleanliness.
Approximately seven miles from Lardos is Kitari. The water is clear and it is very popular for snorkelling. On the beach there are plenty of water sports, but overall the place is very calm, people come here to relax on the beach and enjoy life. Kitaris selection of restaurants is a bit limited, if you want more choice, you need to go to Lardos or Lindos. Most people who stay at Kitaris select all-inclusive.

Lindos

The village of Lindos is located 55 km south of Rhodes town and is very popular during the summer months. Lindos has that typical Greek appearance with small white house that finds its way up the slope. We suggest you take a stroll along the quaint streets and maybe settle down in a café and enjoy the splendid views over the sea. There are many wonderful small bays with beautiful sandy beaches.

Here you have everything you have ever dreamed about on your holiday. At Rhodes town you get the hustle and bustle, plenty of choice when it comes to nightlife, eating out and shopping. There are plenty of great beaches close by and if you decide to stay outside the city centre you will be rewarded with that relaxing atmosphere, but without being stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Do not miss

On the western side of Rhodes, approximately five kilometres south east of the village of Theologos, lies the valley of the butterflies. This is one of the most attractive destinations on the island. During August, thousands of butterflies overwhelm the valley in order to reproduce.
Socrates Street in Rhodes Town, this is the old quarter where you will find a wonderful mix of souvenirs and gifts.
A trip to Lindos is a must, here you will find a bay with two of Greece's best beaches - expect a crowd here at the high season.
A bit outside the town of Rhodes you will find the ancient stadium. In the same area you will also find an amphitheatre that is incredibly beautiful and well preserved, and Apollo's temple.
