Naxos Mikri Vigla Beach

Naxos Mikri Vigla Beach

Naxos Mikri Vigla BeachNaxos Mikri Vigla Beach is located 12 from Naxos port. Is it one of the most beautiful beaches of the island and the Aegean.

Mikri Vigla, as indicated by its name, was the western watchtower on the island for the risk turnout pirates on the island.

Actually it consists of two sandy beaches, which are separated by a hill.

The northern beach of Mikri Vigla beach is wonderful, with soft golden sand and crystalline turquoise waters.

The southern beach of Mikri Vigla (on the other part of the hill) is an endless sandy beach (also called Sahara or Limanakia) with amazing crystal waters and it is reccommended for family holidays. There is also a greek tavern located there.

Access to the beach can be done in three different ways.

  • By car: from the airport, following the detour direction Plaka - Oath - Little. Lookout via a dirt road that starts from Plaka. The dirt road is passable. There is also freer parking at the end of it.
  • By boat
  • By bus (from most of the island villages)
